On my way to work this AM, the morning show I listen to was discussing yesterday's Today show which brought up this: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/22150021/
The Q102 crew then went into a 'poll study' they found that listed the top 10 best & worst lovers. If I wasn't driving, I would've been writing this down- among the worst were the Germans (too selfish), Americans (too dominant) & the British (too whiny). A few that topped the best were the Canadians, Italians & the Latin Lovers (come-on...was there ever any doubt?! ;-D)

Well, obviously the Tropicana did not have WiFi available in our part of the hotel (grrrr)- which brings me to this later post. 1st of all I did not get a tattoo BUT still plan on getting 1 at a later date. Cana's however looks good & is very colorful; she got it on her foot which quickly prompted her to tell me 2 keep her talking...2 distract her from the pain.
OMG Stomp Out Loud was AWESOME!! I am so glad to have seen this show finally; what made the night even better was the fact that I actually got a souvenir from the show. One of the brooms they used broke during the show so I took it :-P I was also impressed with how DAMN FUNNY the show was....I will never look at a newspaper the same way again. This dude with the biggest Samoan afro kept using his newsaper as of it were a monstor, which eventually he mimicked giving birth to & ate his own head (ok maybe you had to be there).
The wedding was absolutely beautiful! I was pleasently surprised to witness the brides arrive on a horse-drawn carriage b4 Annette's dad gave them away. Being the sap, I got teary-eyed during the reading of the vows- it was so sweet to see 2 great people in love profess their lifetime committment to each other. The food was outstanding, the music VERY danceable (thank you Ms. DJ), the open bar well stocked, & the reception 'ambiance' fantastic.
What really made the night for me was that I was in the company of really cool people. I'm touched that Annette & Billie invited me to attend their special day; so I thank you both for that. On a side note, thank you Annette for allowing me to waer your watch during the reception...I told you I'd be good & give it back to you :-P I got some great pics which will be posted at a later date.
Another great trip....I hope to return to Vegas in the future.

In less than an hour Cana & I will be on our 1st flight to our final Destination of Vegas. This is the 2nd time now I've brought my laptop on a trip & I'm certainly glad I did! Yesterday while getting my hair done (which is back to it's sexy red highlights :-P) I was taking to 2 women who willingly gave me ideas of what to do while down there....but our itinerary is pretty packed enough as it is. OMG I'm so excited to see STOMP Out Loud!! I've been wanting to see them for years.
Cana's trying to get me to get a tattoo with her; I am still very on the fence about it b/c I DO NOT like the 'tramp stamp' taboo of the location I'm considering. I DO plan on at least looking at designs- my last 2 tats were on a whim & the designs 'jumped out' at me so maybe that'll happen again.
In interesting news Cana & I had a light lunch at a cafe where we had a drunk biker dude talking about sports for our 'listening pleasure' *chuckles*. Not 2 long ago he was seen talking on his cell highly agitated with a security guard next to him. I had my doubts if they were going to let him on the flight.
I shall do my best to continue posting while on this trip, especially if I do indeed get inked. I swear Cana has a way of instigating off the wall purchases! One downfall to getting inked is that I wouldn't be able to go fully into the pool (keep in mind 2 that my hair is newly highlighted...Grrrr).
That's all for now- on2 warmer weather & the bright lights :-D

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? - good question.... hopefully happy, well-established in my career & in my own house. I definitely see me having my PCC license; who knows, maybe in a Forensic Psych. Doctoral program.
What do you do when you can’t sleep? - either watch TV, surf the net, or read a book. If I had someone with me, there'd be more fun options too ;-) What commercial do you just love? - There are a handful I like; coincidently 2 of them were aired during the superbowl this year. Take a look:
What’s your favorite/most used therapeutic technique? - Though I am still learning, empathy works wonders & silence can certainly be golden.
What’s your favorite holiday? -Christmas, hands down. I love the decorations, the lights & certainly the time to spend with family & friends. I also like to do 'holiday-like' things... from seeing the Trans-siberian Orchestra, & Festival of Lights to getting all dressed up for The Nutcraker at Music Hall.

Tickets for Lisa Lampanelli's November 30 show at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati, OH, will go on sale this Friday, September 7th, and are available by going to http://tinyurl.com/2n3ymr .
The Queen of Mean has 'upgraded' her location :-D This will be I believe my 5th time going....I am going to try & get a group together for a night filled with hysterical laughter. As you know, I have been very lucky every year to get great seats (not to mention made fun of by LL herself) so I will attempt to do the same. WHO'S WITH ME??!!

Talk about your irony- during 2 of the hottest days this summer, our a/c decides to break. The last time I checked, it was 88 degrees in our office. There are numerous fans blowing right now & when I come near them I don't know if I should hum music from the Wizard of Oz (specifically when Dorothy get whisked away in the tornado) or if I should strike a pose & act like I'm in a music video with my luscious locks blowing in the wind :-P
As much as I don't mind the summer, I would so rather be cold than hot any day. I sweat so easily you'd think by looking at me I'd just had sex in the Psych office. *Chuckles* ok, looking at the previous line makes me realize that I've either grossed out the LJ community...or made you all horny. LOL either way, my apologies ;-)

Can work get any strange for me today?? I tell you, this has been one fucked up week, from work, to family, to other issues. Next week's trip is looking mighty nice, even if it is Nawlins at the end of July (HOT!) & mixed in with business :-) This weekend is looking even better.... looking forward to seeing cool people & partying; I think I need it.

I've been slammed at work for the past 2 days new required paperwork is annoying as hell so many people around me are stressed; some talk.... some don't
Today's icing on the cake- After almost an hour, I prevented a person from 'blowing his head off'.
Ok; that's my venting for today- thank you & adios.

Yesterday after helping a cool chica move I headed 2 a belated 4th of July party. There was plenty of food, drink, cornhole & fireworks..... 2 things were a highlight that evening: 1) The host had a nice collection of 'vintage cars' ranging from a corvette to a mustang...plus a cool dune buggy he built himself that I got to ride many times & fast :-P 2) One of my friend's exes was there (turns out he's a cousin of the host) & the look on her face when she saw him was Fkn HILARIOUS. Knowing that she showed up with her finace was icing on the cake too!
This afternoon my brother & I continued our annual tradition of him treating me to a movie as a birthday gift. Some may think it's not that big a deal but 4me it's something I look forward to- this year I decided on Transformers. I remember watching the original animated movie with my brother at the theater so I figured it'd be fitting to do the same again :-) It was a good movie; special effects were awesome.
And now back to the World Series of Pop Culture- it's back!!!! I could so kick ass on this show

Well it's now official.....as of 7:30 this morning, I am now 30. As expected, I don't feel old & my clock's certainly NOT ticking. I have 2 great jobs, awesome friends, & have experienced new interests in my life I never in my wildest dreams thought would develop. Many people my age are married, divorced, remarried & have kids- not me. Trust me, I'm cool with it- in the words of Samantha (from Sex & the City) I am single, fabulous & having fun ;-)
HAPPY B-DAY TO ME!!

For those of you who do not follow WWE wrestling- please forgive this post for what I am about to type:
I am almost speechless. Totally, completely, & utterly fucking speechless. Yesterday the WWE fans got wind of horrible news yesterday concerning HUGE fan favorite Chris Benoit. He was found dead in his home with his wife & 7 year old son; what's worse is that they confirmed this morning that it was indeed a double murder/suicide.....something I suspected all along but did not want to believe. I can't describe the feelings for this side of a man that apparently no1 knew. No1 recognizes this Chris Benoit; the Chris Benoit WWE fans, his family, friends & employers knew was the guy every1 is mourning. Considering what I do I can't immediately lash out words like 'murderer' & 'monstor'- I need to know the why 1st & the circumstances that led up to yesterday (like if he was he depressed, etc..). Hopefully more knews shall be shared at a later date.
I was flipping channels yesterday & expected to see regularly schedule RAW, but instead found a 3 hour tribute to his memory. I immediately called friends & my brother, processing the shock. The show was much like when Eddie Guererro passed away, a lot of great moments/memories...and many grown men crying for a man they admired.
It's so hard to believe that in less than 2 years WWE has lost 2 great Superstars; what makes it so ironic is that Chris & Eddie were best friends in the business. I grew up watching WWE with my 2 brothers- I stopped for a while & was re-introduced again in 1996. I introduced WWE to my best friend, who for so long fought my requests to watch it with me...until she finally broke down & saw a live show. She's been hooked ever since; in fact Chris Benoit was 1 of her favorite wrestlers 2. Chris was part of many monumental matches in the WWE. I loved seeing him at the live shows I attended, & on TV. My favorite memory was at Wrestlemania XX 2004 at MSG arena- undoubtedly 1 of the best matches I've EVER seen! Chris beat out my favorite Triple H & Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match for the RAW world championship. 20 years of hard work finally paid off; he held that championship belt...tears streaming down his face. Then Eddie Guererro came into the ring (he was the Smackdown! world champion) applauded him & they met in an emotional embrace to the delight of the crowd.
Chris Benoit was an awesome technical wrestler. He was known as the Rabid Wolverine & the Canadian Crippler for his no nonsense style & submission moves. He brought an electric energy to the arena; it was so cool to watch him- you could clearly tell that he gave 110% every time he stepped into the ring.
I will definitely remember you Chris. I thank you for being a part of sports entertainment & doing all you could to make sure the fans were left happy and satisfied. I end this post with my favorite match:

Day of NCE Exam: Blah with some stomach flip-flops
Phone call from Blockbuster informing me that I owe $ on a movie I supposedly didn't return: excuse me-isms?! along with confusion
On way to exam, it's starts POURING down rain with BIG flashes of lightning: Holy crap, just my luck, don't die & 'what else could go wrong?' thoughts swim in my head (FYI- storms bad)
At exam site: Lady informs me that the AC is out & place is stuffy: WTF!!
Knowing that none of this matters because, I PASSED MY EXAM.........
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING PRICELESS!!!!!!

Yesterday after about 2 hours of studying, I managed to leave for a free concert that had Lonestar performing. Afterwards I decided to go back home & study some more; at this time it was only close to 10:40pm. I stayed up til almost 1:30am & decided to hit the hay after soaking up Freud's ego defense mechanisms (I'm into counseling theories). About 15 minutes into a potential REM sleep, I got this nagging thought about standard deviations of the mean & a question I thought was right when the answer key said something else. So what do I do? I get up out of bed & look through my Encyclopedia of Counseling book til I see the question that justifies my original thought that I was right. *Sigh* I honestly could not go to sleep until I found out the answer!
As I study each section I take the practice exam associated with that specific area. So far I've missed a max of 3 questions (in Research) & retake it until I answer all correctly; the book & CDs help too. Even until exam day I know that there will be this thought of whether I studied enough; my dad said he thought this too when he was sitting for his medical exams. I know for damn sure that I'm studying more than I did for the Comps; all of this will come down to one word on a printout...please let it be the 1 I want.

For the past 24 hours I've been fighting either allergies or a head cold....my guess is it's allergies. This ticks me off b/c the sinus pain & leaky faucet attached to my nose caused me to lay down yesterday & fall asleep for 2 hours. This I don't like; why you ask? B/C my 'nap' cut into my study time GRRRRRRRRR So to make it up I was up late last night studying. I'm doing pretty well on the practice tests & still listening to the CDs. I am now reading over Human Growth & Development after sucking up all the Research & Program Evaluation I could handle!
I am sooooo glad I've got these CDs; I feel like they've really helped me remember terms/concepts etc. better. Sigh....15 days & counting
